Your Black World Reports

It appears that film director Tyler Perry has had it with Spike Lee’s criticism.  In a recent press conference for his upcoming film, Madea’s Happy Family, Perry had this to say:

“I’m so sick of hearing about damn Spike Lee,” Perry announced to press Monday. “Spike can go straight to hell!”

“I am sick of him talking about me,” Perry said. “I am sick of him saying, ‘This is a coon, this is a buffoon.’ I am sick of him talking about black people going to see movies. This is what he said: ‘You vote by what you see’ — as if black people don’t know what they want to see.”

I AGREE with Tyler Perry 1000% and support him whole heartedly!!! If you don’t like his movies, then don’t go see them. Black people are always tearing one another down. Spike’s always talking shyt about the sterotypes that Tyler portrays in his movies. I don’t see him talking about the sterotype of the majority of professional Black athletes dating and marrying White women; or Black men getting as close to White as they can, like him! Like White people oblivious to that shyt. Spike needs to “shut the hell up” and go sit his sterotypical “Angry Black Man” azz down! If he can do better, then do it! In other words, he need to shyt or get off the pot!!!

Mr. Perry, just keep doing your thing!

You worked hard to get where you are and there are some out here who will dog you at every turn.

Spike needs to at least be gracious to other film makes, and show some class.

I, too, am tired of reading crap that he has said about Mr. Perry’s films.

Does Spike have his own studio?

    Produce his own work?

NO! He needs to sit down and let the other man do his thing!

    RESPECT YOURSELF!

I agree whole heartedly with Tyler Perry. Spike Lee needs to shut up. Its not like any of his movies were ever rated as outstanding movies, As a matter of fact Spike Lee produced some of the most lame black movies. Some of his movies were so sorry and lame that even the majority of blacks didnt watch them and the only reason why the few blacks supported him was because back then it was hardly no black men who done a lot of movies for t.v. That was the only reason why he was noticed.
Tyler Perry, continue and make of proud and inspire us, you’re doing a wonderful job and your movies are inspiring and exciting to watch. Spike Lee ios just jealous. If Spike dont like your movies then maybe he personally needs not to watch them. If he feels like Tylers movies are an embarrassement to the black race then he really needs to sit down and watch his own slow rated and sorry movies that he made in the past. Go on Tyler I love you and love everything you do for the black people entertainment. Ignore pure ignorance of our own race who cant find nothing better in life but kick another black down.

All I can say to Spike Lee is you need to step off Tyler Perrys back about his movies and go and sit down and watch some of your sorry lame movies from the past and figure out what you did wrong and why you wasnt successful as Tyler Perry is today.

Now in all fairness people Malcom X was a great film that is in the library of congress now. Yet I believe it is just jealousy on Spike Lee’s part. I think it is wrong to tear someone down who is feeding families and keeping people working. Tyler Perry does give young blacks opportunities. Spike stop hating and give the man his respect he worked hard. God gave it to him so I agree that Spike needs to shut the hell up!

Tyler just needs to expand, I admire Tyler’s work and where he came from. Tyler just needs to understand that Spike is a New Yorker, and they tend to have God complex problems. Like it or not, Tyler has put the everyday black man and woman on screen and WE will go to see ourselves in a Movie. Spike needs to come to small town USA and see that there are people much closer to those that Tyler portrays than Spike does. All that being said, somebody have Tyler call me, I have a few scripts of my own that need to be developed.

Spike Lee needs to stop hatin on a brotha and and sit down and shut up. I love Tyler Perry movies and will always support him. His movie tell the truth about black families. So Spike Lee stop hatin on a brotha and respect what Tyler is doing.

Tyler Perry is the man of this time. I love everything that he has done. Madea is the funniest character that I’ve seen in a long time. Spike, you need to find something constructive to do with your time other than criticize another brother. Your movies were ridiculous, with the exception of Malcom X. That’s probably because you followed Alex Hailey’s book. You really need to shut up! Tyler was right about you!
